Angry

...We equate national health care to welfare...

I saw Sicko last night. If you haven't seen it yet, do. As soon as you can. Get it on Netflix or Blockbuster, whatever, just see it. It will make you angry.

I'm not just angry at our health care system. I'm angry at my fellow Americans for believing all the BS that we're fed through our media. We always hear about how bad socialized health care would be, and that if we did that, we'd eventually all be commies.

It's just not true. They have universal health care in Canada, the U.K., France and even Cuba!! Friggin' Cuba folks!

You know why we don't have it? Cause we're selfish. We equate national health care to welfare. When really, it's not just for the poor, it's for everybody. It makes the whole damn system easier. Easier for doctors, and easier for you! No stupid paperwork to fill out, no waiting till you're "approved", no denials from your insurance company, no waiting till you're on your deathbed to go to the doctor.

I have had insurance through my job since 1998. I have paid 200 per week or more to my insurance company, every month since then. I didn't use my health insurance much till this year. How much have I put into a system that is now causing me to declare bankruptcy because of their high deductibles and copays?

I have paid almost $104,000 !!

I would gladly have put that same amount in taxes instead, in order to receive health care like they have in Canada, or France, or the U.K.

Quote from: "Next Big Bailout" By Donna Smith
“Healthcare isn’t like widgets or tires or hammers and nails. Healthcare is a human right. When we are sick, when our neighbor is sick, when our parent is sick, when our child is sick, and yes – even when our enemies are sick – we must have access to medical care. To see a doctor or other healthcare professional when we need it (and before it has become a crisis) is the way a humane and just society behaves.”

Crap.

...awake, in pain and get paid...

I feel like utter crap today. I'm at work though. wow. Today my thought was, stay at home... awake, in pain. Or come to work... awake, in pain and get paid. Hmm... since the outcome was basically the same; Except that my typing skills are extremely limited due to my head trauma, and all my words are coming out wrong. (I had to retype half that sentence and most of this one, as an esxample.) Anyway, since the outcome was basically the same, I decided to come in and work. We're not extremely busy today (*knock on wood) and I should be ok. I see my doctor at 9:45 today. Maybe, hopefully, he can give me something that will knock out my freakin' headache. If I can get past that, I'll be ok I think.

No more. Please.

...I know I'm whining I'm sorry.

Tomorrow I go in for #4 in a series of 6 chemo treatments. I cried today and told my BF that I didn't want to go. I still don't. I'd cancel if death wasn't on the other side of that line. I hate this. I'm so tired of being sick. I'm tired of the thousands of dollars in bills that I'm accumulating. My last bill from the Oncologist was over a grand. And then on top of it, they get to torture me. I am not a happy Angi.

I've been feeling sick for the last two days, and I've not yet had my chemo, so it's all stress. I know, I'm whining. I'm sorry.

Lifely Update

...I have a raging headache...

I was almost completely medicine free yesterday! Wahoo!! Hee hee. All I took were my asthma meds and that cleared most of my symptoms, which were, of course coughing! And more coughing! lol.

I'm working on my business website, and I've made some templates for some other websites, so I'm keeping busy. Also, trying to get Rob's book wrapped up. I'm going to be trying to get some editing done tonight. I was going to do it yesterday, but we had some family time (played mageknight and watched a movie) instead.

Right now I have a raging headache, but I already took an ibuprofen so hopefully it'll be gone soon.

Ok, well that's it for my lifely updates. Have a great morning!!

Sunday

...Did I mention I'm not sick anymore?

Well, it's Sunday. The weekends over and I'm ready to go back to work I suppose. I worked all weekend on a web project and a few little art projects, including the one in the previous post. We had spaghetti for dinner... mmmmmm ... I've been up since like 8 I think, so I'm totally ready for bed.

Oh, hey, did I mention that I'm almost not sick anymore? I'm so glad to be almost over that. I just have a little cough left.

Sick and Gross.

I'm sick and gross. I'm coughing like a smoker and not too cheery. Ick. I was wondering when it would happen. My whole family was sick recently so it was bound to happen. lol

Ok, so that's it. I'm done. I just came to say hello and I'm sick. Have a good night!

Nervous

...afraid it's going to have to beremovedor worse...

I found a lump. I found it a week ago. I hoped it was going to go away. Maybe it wasn't what I thought it was. Nope. It's still there. Still screaming at me to go to the doctor. I need to go have it looked at. I'm afraid they're going to tell me it's awful. That it's going to have to be removed or worse, that what's around it will be. I'm afraid they'll say I need chemo, or surgery, or both. I hate needles, I have a very large fear of being cut into. I'm afraid they're going to give me anesthesia and it's not going to work, but not till after they freeze me in place so I can't move or scream and then they'll cut into me and I'll feel it.
I won't be the same after that. I'll snap and go crazy...... lol omg. I found a lump. I had to share it so, here, I'm sharing it with the world.
