Three 8-9 minute sets. With walking in between. About 35 minutes or so total. Then shower and get lunch. I've had a busy last hour!
I traced it out on mapmyrun.com and it was about 2.25 miles. Yay!!

Icky Sicky
Feeling kinda yucky today. My nose is really irritated. I got this new stuff for my laundry that's supposed to make your clothes stay fresh for a week. Its kinda perfumy and I'm allergic to most perfumes, so I'm having a hard time. My eyes are itchy, and my nose is just short of a sneeze, and stuffy. I'm hoping that my system will get used to it, but if not, I only have to deal with it till I've dirtied all my clothes and can wash them again. heh. I love the way it smells, but it doesn't love me so much.
Going to run today. I've decided that my jumping back in so fast was not so good. The last time I ran, was on a treadmill last Thursday, and I injured myself. My balance isn't so great and I think my gait was off because I was over compensating. I think that instead, I will stick to outside on any day other than Friday, that way if I hurt myself, I have two days to rest up before coming back to work. :) Anyway, I also decided to start back up the Couch to 5k, just to ease my way back in. Once I get back to 3 miles of straight running (5k) then I will start amping up the miles. I think I'll add a new mile every week.
The couch to 5k is actually a 6 week program, but I'm already part way there, so I'm going to skip the first 2 weeks of it to lower it down to a 4 week program. At the end of that I should be able to easily do 3 miles, possibly even 4. (I can already do 1 mile, no problem.) Then I have 10 more weeks beyond that to get to my goal of 13.1 miles. So that mile per week should do it with a little room to spare, assuming I don't slack too much. lol
So cross your fingers for me! Here's to hoping I don't lose my way!

It's back!
...I already have Windows 7 installed on it...
I'm so used to updating my Facebook, I keep forgetting to say things here. Maybe I should give up my blog? My life comes in these little snippets anyway, what do I need a blog for? All the stuff I want to write I feel like I can't put up here. lol
Anyway, on to why I'm in here in the first place... so recently my computer went down. I've been having issues with it for awhile, but then last week or was it the week before?? I tried to install Windows 7 on it. It seemed to go ok, till I rebooted. Then it wouldn't come back up. It would get to the Toshiba screen, where it gave you the option of hitting F12 or F2 to get to settings or BIOS, but you couldn't even hit those buttons. So needless to say, I called Toshiba and said "HELP!". They had me do some things, including holding down the 'o' while the system was booting up, which sets it back to factory settings, apparently.
That irritated me of course. It's a good thing I'd backed up my important data before doing the upgrade to Win 7. And lucky too! Because it turns out it was an issue with the harddrive. I ended up having to send it in, because after the 'o' reset, the system stopped getting even that far. The next time I rebooted it just went black. No lights, nothing. Dead. So Toshiba gave me some numbers and told me to drop it at the UPS store.
I had Rob drop it off for me the next day. It took some time, but I just got it back yesterday!! Freakin' Yay!! I already have Win 7 installed on it. I did it last night.
So anyway, that's pretty much it. I also started up the couch to 5k program again. Hopefully I'll get to week 4 before I have to quit again for surgery. Ok, I just looked at a calendar, it'll be week 3. heh.

Torture Tennis
...I thought the Wii primed me for playing this darned sportbut no... no it didn't...
OMG! Tennis is sooooo fun!
OK, so here's the story. A couple months ago we got the Wii. Wii's come with Wii sports. Wii Sports has Wii Tennis in it. So I played bowling, and Golf and all the games on the Wii... but whenever I got a chance to play single player, I played Tennis (we only had one controller at first, so it had to be single player). I'm pretty good at the Wii Tennis game now. So Wii Tennis turned out to be my favorite part of Wii sports, with Bowling as my second favorite.
So Since then we've been talking about getting racquets and actually playing tennis. So on Saturday, after my daughter's Gymnastics class, my daughter, my sister, and I went to a park down the street from my house to help her practice hand stands and cartwheels. As a side note to the story, I practiced cartweels too! I was able to do four in a row at one point. I'm a fatty so that's a big accomplishment.... lemme tell ya!

So, the park that we go to for those practices has a tennis court and my sister got to telling me how that's the one sport she really likes. She loves to play tennis! After the park we went home and were talking about all that to my BF. I had to go to wally world for something, so we were going to stop at the local used stuff place (in this case it was St. Vincent De Paul) to look for some racquets. We had been under the impression that racquets would be expensive, so that's why we went there. Anyway, we found a couple, but they were five bucks and they were all mini-sized or broken, so we left that place. My BF said we should check out Wallyworld since we would be going there anyway.
We found some 23" racquets that seemed pretty perfectly sized for us. They were Jr. racquets btw. They were listed at about 6 bucks. Can't beat that, I thought. So we got them. They turned out to be $8.88 but we got them anyway. I told my BF that I wanted to try them out before we went home, so we stopped at the aforementioned park and played for about 1/2 hour. It was so hard to hit the ball right! I thought that the Wii primed me for playing this darned sport, but no... no it didn't. I'm sure I was better than someone who'd never played anything like it before, but it sure didn't seem like it. The ball was all over the place, but after about 20 minutes we started really getting the ball to go back and forth like it should be. Mind you we scrapped the real rules for tennis in about 5 seconds once we realized that we were too green to get anywhere that way.
So the next day we went back again, this time with the kids. Now, I'll tell you right here that I was extremely sore from the tennis excursion the previous day, and the cartwheels. We played again anyway, and it was fun.
I love tennis. That's the moral of this story. I want to play more. Sunday, even though I was sore from playing both that day and the day before, I still wanted to go back for more once I got home and had some water. I'm going to go play again today. Yay! And probably tomorrow! Yay!
Here's some Tennis info (not an ad, just some stuff I wanted to be able to find easily):
